Trying to Forget the Pain
I experienced a powerful moment of divine intervention when my grandfather, Pepere, died. I went to his funeral at the Catholic Church he attended, but I’d lost all faith in religion. Still, after the service, I felt compelled to make a request to Pepere: “If you do have some kind of spirit that survived death, please let me know somehow.”
Within a few hours of attending the funeral, I tried to put the whole experience out of my mind. It was too overwhelming and upsetting. I completely forgot about the request I’d made to Pepere.
A Message From Above
But about a day later, something really strange happened.
At the time, my husband and I were still using a really old alarm-clock-radio in our bedroom. That morning, at about 4am, the alarm went off. My husband and I normally woke at about 6:45am, so we’d never intentionally set an alarm that early. It was also turned to full volume, so it startled us both wide awake. The song that was playing was popular at the time, a country song called “Honey Bee” by Blake Shelton. My husband and I looked at each other wide-eyed. We felt something powerful and strange had happened, but we had no idea what was going on.
I had a sudden flash of memory as I thought back to the request I’d made to Pepere at the funeral. I realized that I’d just received the sign I’d asked for in a way that was so powerful and unusual, I couldn’t deny it.
Pepere Is Now My Spirit Guide
Ever since that day, I hear the song “Honey Bee” on the radio during important moments.
It played when I drove to a family celebration for my grandmother’s birthday (Pepere’s wife). It played when my parents and husband’s family drove my son to his very first pro baseball game. It played in the rental car when we did an extended-family trip to Disney World. The list goes on and on…
I’ve received so many “Honey Bee” signs at key moments in my life, I now feel certain that Pepere lives on in spirit. Many years later, he’s still beside me and guiding me.
