Impending Danger
My husband, Jim, and I were enjoying a drive along the scenic route of the White River of Indiana. The road was narrow and winding, and it curved under an overpass. There was a baseball park on one side of the road, and the river on the other. As the road curved under the overpass, we came upon a hill with a brick wall that held the railroad tracks of the overpass. The wall completely blocked our view of the road as it curved.
As we came close to the curve, I clearly and distinctly saw a large truck beyond the curve, speeding right toward us! I screamed at Jim: “Look out! He’s going to hit us! Get over!”
Jim couldn’t see the truck because he couldn’t see beyond the curve … but my sightline beyond the curve was also blocked! Regardless, Jim heard the urgency in my voice and jerked the car to the right and into the parking lot of the baseball field.
Guardian Angel to the Rescue
As soon as we were off the road, the large truck came barreling around the
curve, in the middle of the road! Had we not pulled over, it would have hit
us head on!
To this day, I wonder if I had a premonition … or if I was helped by a guardian angel.
