A Frantic Rush
I was running desperately behind schedule, and I was in a mad dash to get out the door. I knew I was going to be late to pick up my son at a sporting event, so I quickly grabbed my keys and took off.
As I was driving, I realized that I’d forgotten to bring my purse containing everything I needed – my license, money, and phone. I debated whether to keep going or turn around and go back for it, knowing the delay would only make me later.
A Strange Impulse
My inclination was to keep going, but something was nagging at me to go back and get my purse. Finally, I made the decision to turn around and go back.
After I got my purse and was headed out again, I came to the spot on the highway just a bit beyond the point where I’d made the decision to turn my car around. It was crawling with cops and emergency vehicles. I had to stop, and while doing so I asked someone what had happened.
Was It a Guardian Angel?
I learned that a truck had run a stop sign and broad-sided a car on the highway,
killing the driver. It had just happened about 15 minutes before, right at the time I’d have been passing that spot myself!
I truly believe that my guardian angel told me to turn around, which saved
my life!
